January 2011 Update

- HFH mentioned in the latest UK Government Green Paper, 'Giving' as an example of a platform that delivers non-traditional volunteering opportunities as part of their 'Big Society' vision
- Got a few mentions in the media, most notably the UK 'heavyweight' The Sunday Times which included HFH in an article on mentoring people. Needless to say, the numbers of website visitors have spiked up
- Approx 10 more Volunteer Centres are now promoting microvolunteering, some in Ireland + Scotland. This about wraps up HFH's campaign to encourage UK Volunteer Centres to embrace microvolunteering. The campaign was a huge success as it's now put microvolunteering on the voluntary sector radar in the UK. HFH will continue to promote microvolunteering Volunteer Centres via articles in relevant volunteer sector forums. - HFH has been invited to give a talk at Voluntary Action South West Surrey Volunteer Centre Convention on the barriers to volunteering and how they can be overcome via microvolunteering.
- Also been asked give a talk on microvolunteering to Patchway Filton & The Stokes Volunteer Centre at their monthly team meeting
